Over 80 golfers from top programs across the country continued their battle at the 45th Schenkel Invitational, with Georgia Southern holding onto its lead after the second round at Forest Heights Country Club.The Eagles started Saturday with a three-stroke advantage, and despite strong winds in Statesboro, the team showed their resilience on their home turf. Brycen Jones led the charge for Georgia Southern with a second-round 69, while Hogan Ingram followed up his first round 69 with a 70 on Saturday. Both golfers sit at 5-under on the tournament, and three shots back of Florida's Luke Poulter. Georgia Southern is still clinging to the team lead, at 12-under par. Florida and Utah stand tied for second at 11-under, with Kentucky and Notre Dame tied for fourth at 1-under. The Eagles will look to hold onto their lead and claim the title as the event wraps up Sunday.
