Braiesey Rosa delivered a walk-off home run to cap an Oregon sweep of Illinois.
Rosa drilled the first pitch of the bottom of the seventh over the wall in left center to send the No. 8 Ducks to a 4-3 win Sunday afternoon at Jane Sanders Stadium.
It was the closest of the three games this weekend, all won by Oregon (29-3), with the finale counting as a nonconference game.
Rylee McCoy hit an RBI single in the first to give the Ducks the early lead.
Illinois (13-15) rallied with two outs in the second. Ellie Haggard hit an RBI double to tie it, then a walk, hit batter and walk forced in a run and ended the day for Taylour Spencer, who allowed two unearned runs on two hits, two walks and a hit batter over 1.2 innings.
Paige Sinicki’s RBI triple tied it at 2 in the third, then Rosa put Oregon in front on an RBI single in the fourth.
Haggard led off the sixth with a home run to tie it at 3.
Rosa ended it an inning later with a solo shot off Karley Yergler (4-3), who allowed four runs on eight hits and two walks over 6.0 IP.
Lyndsey Grein (16-1) picked up the win while allowing one hit and one walk with three strikeouts over 2.0 IP of relief.
