CABELL COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Authorities have charged Joshua Benjamin Samuel Gould with child abuse following an investigation into injuries found on a child in his custody.
According to reports, Gould had custody of the child from February 21 to February 26, 2025. When the child was picked up from school on February 26, multiple bruises were discovered on the child’s arms, legs, chest, buttocks, fingers, and near the eye. These injuries were photographed and documented by Huntington Police.
On February 27, additional concerns were raised when a clump of the child’s hair fell out, which was collected as evidence by SGT Matovich of the Huntington Police Department. Authorities believe the hair loss resulted from abuse that occurred around February 24.
A forensic interview was conducted at Cabell Huntington Hospital on March 6, where the child provided further details of the alleged abuse.
