Elīna Garanča has been recognized by the association Austria – Nordic & Baltic Countries.

In a statement, the mezzo-soprano said, “Honored and grateful! On March 24, 2025, I had the privilege of receiving the first-ever Recognition Award from the Association Austria – Nordic & Baltic Countries, which has been fostering cultural and human connections for 25 years. As an artist born in Latvia and deeply connected to Austria, I truly believe that music builds bridges between people and nations. This award is a testament to the power of culture, tradition, and friendship in bringing us together. A heartfelt thank you to the association for their incredible work in strengthening the ties between Austria and the Nordic & Baltic countries. Let’s continue to celebrate our unity through art and music!”
