MANILA — Non-profit organization Fashion Aid Philippines has launched the country’s first national design competition named, “The Grant,” in a media event on March 28, in Makati City.

“The Grant” is a platform designed to discover and find talents who can be sent to various academies in the design capitals of the world.

World-renowned Filipino fashion designer and Fashion Aid PH member Paul Cabral talks about how this would recognize and propel the Filipino creative industry on the global stage.

“It supports emerging designers, not only through funding but also through mentorship, cultural exchange, and the opportunity to be a part of a larger movement that centers on identity, heritage, and innovation. ‘The Grant’ is more than fashion, but it’s about building a strong foundation for the creative industry in our country and creating space for Filipino voices in global conversations,” Cabral said.
