Sneakerheads everywhere will want to get their hands on a pair of Nike’s newest shoes, but not everyone will get the chance.
The brand announced the release of the Nike Air Jordan 1 High OG “Rare Air”, planned for Saturday, April 5, at 10 a.m. ET. But the shoe is so rare that only a limited number of customers will have a chance to buy it the moment it’s released.
The Air Jordan 1 Retro High remakes the classic sneaker with a fresh and familiar feel. This style is a fan favorite, but new premium materials, colors and textures are giving it a modern look this time around. Each pair goes for $180.
Nike is using a Line Checkout system to ensure fans have an equal chance to purchase this high-demand item. This just means that when you’re selected, if your size is available, they will process your order. If it sells out before, Nike will let you know.
The wait time varies depending on the product, and each customer is only allowed one item.

Do you want to put your hat in the ring? Create a free Nike Member account or sign into an existing one to get started. These Line Checkouts are only available to Nike members. Once you’ve created your account, update your profile to make sure all shipping, contact and payment information is up-to-date.
On the day of the sale, log into your account ahead of time and keep your phone by you for notifications and two-factor verification.
In addition to access to Line Checkout sales, you’ll also get free shipping on orders of $50+, 60-day wear tests, receiptless returns, sport and style advice from Nike experts and access to live, member-only events.
We recommend getting this all set up well before the sale goes live and setting an alarm so you don’t miss it. Good luck, sneakerheads!
