RAGBRAI LII will make history with this year’s full route reveal.
After 51 years of pedaling across Iowa, this year’s route will bring a new level of adventure as riders cross state lines for fifteen miles into Minnesota on day two of the ride.
“For over five decades, we’ve explored every corner of Iowa, and this year, we’re taking it to the next level riding into Minnesota.” said RAGBRAI Ride Director Matt Phippen. “It will be an unforgettable experience.”
In partnership with RAGBRAI, the Iowa Department of Transportation, Iowa State Patrol, Minnesota Department of Transportation, Jackson County Minnesota Sheriff’s Department, Jackson County Parks and Trails and Bicycle MN have all played a role in bringing RAGBRAI LII across state lines.
“Jackson County Parks are thrilled to have RAGBRAI riders’ bike into Minnesota and past our four southern campgrounds.” said Jeremy Bartosh, Jackson County Parks, and Trails. “We look forward to hosting them for a short break at Brown Park South on July 21.”

RAGBRAI LII Route Details
The 2025 route will feature beautiful landscapes, vibrant pass-through towns, and highlight the best of Iowa’s small-town charm. Here is what riders can expect each day:
Day 1: Orange City to Milford
• Pass-through towns: Granville, Primghar, Hartley, May City
Day 2: Milford to Estherville
• Pass-through towns: Wahpeton, Brown Park (MN), Superior
Day 3: Estherville to Forest City
• Pass-through towns: Armstrong, Swea City, Bancroft, Titonka, Woden, Crystal Lake
Day 4: Forest City to Iowa Falls
• Pass-through towns: Ventura, Meservey, Alexander, Latimer, Coulter
Day 5: Iowa Falls to Cedar Falls
• Pass-through towns: Ackley, Aplington, Parkersburg, New Hartford
Day 6: Cedar Falls to Oelwein
• Pass-through towns: Dunkerton, Fairbanks
Day 7: Oelwein to Guttenberg
• Pass-through towns: Stanley, Aurora, Lamont, Dundee, Edgewood, Garber
This year’s RAGBRAI promises a ride filled with adventure, tradition, and new milestones. Riders will truly feel the “Take Flight” spirit from river to river.
RAGBRAI LII will release gravel route options by day at the beginning of May.
