THOSE INJURIES. NEW TONIGHT A 142 YEAR OLD BRIDGE IN MARION COUNTY HAS PARTIALLY COLLAPSED. MARION COUNTY LEADERS SAY THEY WERE NOTIFIED ON MARCH 26TH THAT THE BRIDGE OVER THE DES MOINES RIVER ON THE SOUTHEAST SIDE OF HARVEY, HAD PARTIALLY COLLAPSED. THE BRIDGE IS ALSO KNOWN AS THE DOLLAR BRIDGE OR THE WABASH RAILROAD BRIDGE. IT HAS BEEN CLOSED TO VEHICLES FOR YEARS. IT HAD BEEN OPEN FOR BICYCLISTS AND PEDESTRIANS UNTIL THIS PARTIAL COLLAPSE. ANOTHER BRIDGE TO THE NORTHWEST THAT LEADS INTO HARVEY OVER THE ENGLISH CREEK IS CONSIDERED TO BE IN POOR CONDITION, BUT IT IS STILL CONSIDERED SAFE TO CROSS. TAKE A LOOK AT THIS BEAUTY.
