This Women’s-Exclusive Air Jordan Features a First-of-Its-Kind Update

After the return of a coveted original Air Jordan 3 colorway last year, Michael Jordan’s third signature model has surged on in 2025 with both familiar and new looks including the reissue of the “Black Cat” style and a “Lucky Shorts” makeup inspired by one of the basketball legend’s superstitions. With more pairs on the way, April will see the release of a brand new women’s-exclusive colorway that’s decked out with unique materials and textures.
Arriving without the themed backstory that’s sometimes applied to Air Jordan Retros, this women’s Air Jordan 3 “Sail/Cement Gray” colorway lets its quality do the talking with a premium finish on the throwback basketball sneaker, which was originally released in 1988. Its Sail-colored upper is built with a soft leather and a matching color is used on the midsole.

Accents are minimal, with Cement Gray and Metallic Silver balancing out the otherwise stark design. The highlight on this pair is its foil-like glossy cracked leather overlays at the heel and toe which mimic the look of the shoe’s signature elephant print. The sheen is carried over to a painted silver midsole as well as the stitched Jumpman logo on the tongue. Elsewhere, a more muted Cement Gray fills in the outsole, insole and heel branding.
While the Air Jordan 3 has taken somewhat of a backseat in popularity to the Air Jordan 4 and more recently, the Air Jordan 5, it’s the sort of sneaker that never falls far out of fashion. Other highlights from ’25 include A Ma Maniére’s “Diffused Blue” colorway and the Valentine’s Day-themed “Treat Yourself” release.
This women’s exclusive Air Jordan 3 Retro “Sail/Cement Gray” is set to be released from SNKRS on April 12 at 10 a.m. ET. The sneaker will also be available from select Jordan Brand retailers. Retail pricing is set at $200 and the style’s SKU is CK9246-100. Sizing is expected to run through a women’s 12, which is equivalent to a men’s 10.5.
