Andy Cohen calls out Kyle Richards over Morgan Wade relationship on RHOBH reunion

Andy Cohen is having none of it! The Real Housewives reunion host has called out Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (RHOBH) star Kyle Richards over not discussing her friendship with singer Morgan Wade on the latest season of the show.

At the start of the latest season of RHOBH, Richards “intentionally” chose to not mention the country singer’s name. This was despite the singer appearing in the show in multiple occasions in the season prior.

It came amid speculation about a romance between Richards, 56, and Wade, 30 which began after Richards separated from her husband, Mauricio Umansky, in 2023.

The pair were spotted spending time and holidaying together. Richards also starred in Wade’s music video for her song ‘Fall in Love with Me’ in which the two kissed in an apparent nod to the rumours.

Despite the speculation, however, neither Richards nor Wade have publicly identified as LGBTQ+.

But in the second part of the RHOBH reunion special, Richards still didn’t want to discuss Wade at all. As per People, Richards said she felt “guilty” about the level of attention Wade had been subjected to because of their connection.

Richards claimed the attention from Bravo fans was a “very different vibe” to what the singer was used to, before Cohen countered that Wade was a public figure in her own right. People reports Andy as saying: “With singing and performing comes speculation about your life. You know, you put music videos out there. She’s also experienced, I would think, greater publicity and greater attraction and interest as a result of this.”

Cohen also brought up a New York Times feature – ironically titled ‘Morgan Wade was looking for the spotlight. It found her’ – Wade had done, as well as the aforementioned music video.

The video in particular, he said, “contributed so mightily to a conversation that was already a runaway train, and that was totally in her hands, I have to say.” He then added: “It’s like, at some point, you can’t have your cake and eat it too. I mean, sorry.”

Not done yet, Andy also pointed out how RHOBH viewers expect those on the show to share “everything.”

To that, Richards said: “I’m not going to, for example, say something that is going to affect my daughters’ lives for a TV show, for a network, for fans, for ratings, ever. If it’s going to hurt somebody that I love and care about, I don’t care.”

It’s not the first time the RHOBH star has expressed regret about bringing a new wave of attention to Wade.

In January 2024 she told an Amazon Live session Wade had been thrust into a “world of gossip and tabloids.” She said: “She just doesn’t like any of that.”

It marks a noticeable departure for Richards. At the RHOBH reunion in 2024, Richards said she was “evolving” when asked about her future relationship with Wade. Asked by Cohen then about her friendship with Wade, Richards said: “I don’t know what my future holds right now.”

She continued: “I’m evolving, I’m changing. I’m clearly going through some evolution of my own, and I don’t know what my future holds right now.”

When Cohen said “maybe next year she’ll be out here on the couch with us,” Richards responded, “you never know.”
